Froglets - fousands of 'em

While visiting a good mate last week, we were walking the dog past a large village pond when we suddenly realised that we were surrounded. There was no escape. No way out. A billion (at least) titchy baby frogs were making a break from the pond and had decided that... the baking hot and hard road was the way to go. Numpties.

So, we spent at least an hour scooping them up and taking them back to wet grass near the pond, and we even picked up a plastic cup and frognapped about 30 of them to whisk (not literally.. imagine the mess) back to his pond.

This lil guy stood out, so we took a pic. Only now do we realise that he was the only toadlet in a throng of froglets. Luckily for him... he didn't end up in my cauldron wink.

Awwwww I love baby ones! We used to have them in the old old London garden - the whole lawn was heaving with them! It was very hard not to tread on them! So I can imagine the masses!

I'm pretty sure we squished a fair few before we realised that the ground was literally alive with amphibians.

How coolish was that,it reminds me of 1976and the ladybird invasion, they were everywhere, even here. That summer we went to among other places Weston-Super-Mare that year and the beach was red with ladybirds. Sorry Wytchy your post just brought it back.

Would have love to have seen the froglets hehe

Lol

No worries Hez... I wish I could have been there to see it. Mind you, I'd have only been one, so I probably would have just drooled/ puked on them wink.
